# Paid Onsite

> Mobile-complete invoicing for small businesses and contractors — the invoice-to-paid loop finished on a phone, exporting to whatever ledger the accountant uses. Currently in development; waitlist open. The research behind it is published in full.

## Key findings (July 2026 study)

- Corpus: 7,555 one-to-three-star reviews across small-business invoicing and accounting apps.
- QuickBooks: 76% of 2,363 App Store reviews are 1-3 stars. Xero 66%, FreshBooks 53%, Wave 44%, Square Invoices 39%.
- Integration gaps: 10.8% of complaints — approximately 5x the rate across the rest of the study, the most concentrated theme measured.
- 291 reviews explicitly compare the mobile app unfavourably to the web version.
- Reliability 18.6%, missing feature 13.8%, billing and cancellation 6.9%, customer support 6.5%, price 6.1%.

## Stated limitations

- 41% of substantive reviews were not matched by the complaint taxonomy; all percentages are floors, not true rates.
- App store reviews over-represent the daily user; buyer voice on G2 and Capterra is not represented.
- No recency weighting; some cited failures may already be fixed.
